NEON LOVE

You see a chair as it is. But when you burn the chair, you suddenly realize that the chair in your head did not burn or disappear.
Yoko Ono
I AM SO LAZY SO LAZY wtf is up with me~ I can't just... can't be a decent productive person AT ALL.
I HATE IT.

Anyway, here's a little something I'm kind of into. Let's make this kind of whimsical.

NEON LIGHTS

I mostly develop some somewhere rooted sentimental feels for things that I suddenly have an obsession for.
The very unsettling, but necessary question is: DO I GENUINELY LIKE THOSE THINGS? or is it some silly impetuous craze... (it is anyway) which I seek to justify like so:

''Do you guys feel this cold, mysterious light that those lamps emit? Since I love antagonisms I can't resist this special ambiguous imagery that comes from those shining words. So cold, yet light...
Another thing is this clean, polished look vs the messy cables or metal rack, that surround the lettering. Oh, if there's one perfect contradiction then it's tidy mess!!!
I love the colourful, Las Vegas versions, too. When I look at those I see warm summer nights, hanging out with gorgeous people just enjoying life to the fullest and also a kind of sultry-ness. Besides, I love lights in the dark.''

Well, Italian brand Seletti came up with those brilliant letters and symbols for you to set up your own message at home.
Works like a modular assembly system and let's you bring forward your inner poet.
Or in the words of Siletti

write with light
your artistic touch
revealed in neon.
light up a word, a phrase
a poem transforming it into
a living and eternal affirmation.
the new pulse of
'neon art' start here.
start thinking.

What would you write onto your walls?
I'm in dear need of a bedside lamp since I moved, but screw that I got something better!
I'd like to have something that merely plays with the sassy attitude of those lamps and at the same time hints at anything to do with 'bed' or 'sleep' while maintaining a general, neutral message.
So my ideas are

l♡ve/lxve(♡)
yes(♡)
welcome
dream

Yes, that's it already. Tbh I already bought 'xxx' cuz it was on sale, so I'm not very motivated to think about something cool anymore.
Anyway, finally a hopefully somewhat more useful bedside lamp than my salt lamp, oh how many reading times have you robbed me off? Everytime I wanted to skip through some magazines or read a book before sleeping I was redirected to my smartphone or laptop since I don't have a bright light source at the moment.
Oh and isn't it an absolutely legit upgrade of your regular fairy lights, which are just a tad too mainstream and romantic for me~ This neutral, beauty-defying aesthetics, I'm smitten!

Welcome

Candle 2 Blood Brother finally jump wagoning one the scented candles in a glass- trend. Which was kinda unwise b/c I hate perfume-ish smells, luckily this beautiful one comes w/ a cool silver lid! Cotton and wool headband &other stories a neutral-coloured headband to protect my ears from freezing over, since hats push my bangs into my eyes Lip balm - Orange Neon &other stories their make-up has awesome (silver) packaging! Despite its name/looks, the colour is quite sheer and thus leaving a fine vivid hint of orange on your lips
lipstick case I bought this one a whim, since black leather and it head no price tag on. 'Twas actually 20 USD !! Btw, I actually don't even know why lipstick cases exist in general... but it's cool Leather Mittens in Black Vintage Renewal Urban Outfitters I simply love mittens! There's something cute about them, but the tough material make them so mighty. I consider them to be perfect, so please let me keep them for a lifetime

LIBBY ankle boots Vagabond finally my pair of chunky smooth leather walker ankle boots after forever admiring them on Korean shops. Despite their height they're comfortable max, I feel like I can sprint in them (and beat you not, but that's another story) Triple Zip Clutch &other stories full grain black leather x chunky fashion item? Love! Plus I fancied clutches with handles for the longest time (actually since Angela Merkel's floating pink clutch, I don't intend to wear mine that way tho) Compact Styler Beloved Tangle Teezer (not pictured above) my friend had one and from it's unusual look I could already smell that this was sth special. I tried it out on my haven't-combed-for-ages hair and it went back to Mulan mode. So I got one myself and did I mention that I love shiny silver?

Some New In's (automatically equals fav's) from Christmas season. I don't know what got into me, but considering how I used to hate black leather (in particular black leather handbags, I couldn't imagine anything less classy back then) it's ridiculous I decided it's one of my favourite material not so long ago. Full-grain black leather even more. It must be the rebel in my soul that survived the age of the pink princess and now wants to bring out the bad ass biker. With lots of silver spikes, chains and other really hardcore stuff. Or how else can you explain the silver and black combination?
I feel more mature in all those quality materials and grown-up colours, a trait I certainly lack in and don't know of I should work on since I always wanted to be a child even when I was a child. But maybe it's all slowly happening on it's own, just like the pink princess disappearing. I have the feeling that I have been (and still am) in a finding out what you really want and what your place in life is - phase and I can tell you, it hurts (my pride) to be so cliché.
Recently I planned to read more. I like to learn about other people's mind and I guess I'm missing out on many inspirational thoughts. If you know any good non-fiction, please let me know. And I decided to have a huge collection of books later on. Not really novels or purely non-fiction, but many picture books, to feed my love for photography. I really want to buy 광고천재 이제석 (Advertisement Genius Yi Jeseok) at the moment. He really sets new standards in the advertisement industry, but it's hard (impossible) to find copies.

Part 2 and 3 of the (around) Christmas new in's are planned, as apart from the pressies I also kinda splurged on many things.

Lastly, apologies for my awful skin tone (looks like zombie skin) and the obvious Park&Cube similarities, I rushed this one and am uncreative =/

Once a snowy Saturday

Sun Space - Light Night Alumni

Wow, is it lame if I start this post with winter is here as in 'it's pretty hot lately, isn't it?' ? Because, winter is here , it's been storming and snowing loads and I watch like 3 Supernatural eps a day! (my fav is Sam, don't argue, don't steal).
Oh and I have a new theory about my neighbours: maybe they aren't (only) prostitutes, bt cast male porn actors! It's just that some of the guys who come to them act weird, not really like clients~ Actually a bit like nearly clients who are shocked to see them and leave as soon as they get there, but then again some don't really act like that, too... so~

Actually, tbqh I have a haul or several haul posts to write, a sequel of my skincare story has to be posted and I have some Korean fashion advice and lifestyle inspiration for you. Also I should introduce my new baby to y'all. When am I going to do this? - Ask Sam and Dean.*
Ok, j/k I'm going to start this skincare stuff today, well aware of the fact that I won't finish it til who knows.

Last time I told you about my terrible, terrible brake-out. It was in fact so terrible that I couldn't even wash my face anymore, because all the bumps (filled w pus or so) and what-not that I had scratched open burned like hell. I was at a point where I didn't even remember how it felt to wash one's face or to run your hand over your face without feeling a stinging pain. I never dreamt of ever having a normal complexion again. I couldn't simply imagine it.
I started to use Epiduo then and (ok, this starts to sound like a overly dramatic story-of-my-life ad on TV, only that) it didn't help it all, if anything it got worse. I don't want to blame it on the cream though, I think my bacteria was just too strong! I went to see my dermatologist again and got antibiotics prescribed. And I honestly don't know why everybody is so freaked out by antibiotics, like do you even know how they work? As I tried to google them a few days ago, I found out about all the people advising everyone against antibiotics against acne and that it would return as soon as you stop using it and it would destroy your immune system. At that time I couldn't care less (not because I was so desperate though, it was more cuz I actually eat expired food as long as it's not green). So I started to take one pill each day (I forgot the name, terribly sorry) for 50 days I believe. And guess what, that motherfucking break-out disappeared and never c[a]me back! I finished it since I guess over a month or two and I still have the usual pimples as I had before, but none of these pus-filled bumps and other stuff anymore.
All in all I would say that antibiotics are a very effective way to kill bacteria, which caused my zombie brake-out. But I guess that most bacteria nowadays are immune against acne antibiotics so I was really lucky that mine weren't and got killed.
If you're reading this and fighting with acne, too I wish you all the best ! Trust your doctor more than any random internet people! But go find a good doctor, google your town for a good one (most likely the most famous aka best one will pop-up at first) or ask someone you trust to know a good one!

Okay and now I actually would like to brag about my new baby but I don't have my camera with me atm so how about I show you some Scandinavian Christmas gift wrapping ideas and decoration inspos?
I'm a big sucker for everything Scandinavian styled currently and though it seems to be a bit simple or cold to deck your halls like this for the holidays, I still like the chic-ness.

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7 // 8 // 9 //

Okay that's it for today peeps, can't believe I managed to finish this post. Do you know how long it takes me to write one friggin blog post? It's embarrassing so I won't tell you.

Have a wonderful Christmas time!

P U R E

I have been IN LOVE with Scandinavian design/ interior lately - mainly white surfaces, either combined with wooden elements or colourful accents here and there.
Just take a look at my drop dead awesome pins please
others ramble about their beautiful tumblr, for me pinterest does the thing

So, give me a bright room (best in an old building with hight ceilings), add a bit of dark metal industrial style stash to it, and my personal variant of the Scandinavian style - put some dark sclerophyllous plants in there and I'm in I also like simple paintings or surreal photographs

I developed a real special taste in beds over the last few days. Actually my friend made me got interested into those kind of beds (I know - Oh.My.God is that gerl talking about beds?! - yeah I am). I like those more lower styles with no higher bed-ends. And since slanted legs are in right now (50s kind of table legs and so on) I really like those, too.
I think beds like that with real thick mattresses and pillows and blankets and quilts (just generally a lot of soft stuff dumbed on top of it - so it looks kinda messy) has this pure sort of naughtiness to it, that I really fancy Yeah I'm that sort of person... (weird, not naughty ).

But I'm still pretty despised by how I could suddenly like such purist junk, like seriously - where is the fun? And why so act sophisticated and high class?
I used to hate people like that and now look at me - I am what I (used to) hate . The thing which bugs me most is that it's just so mainstream.

I started this post to add a bit of variation the endless picture posts, since it isn't really me to run a picture blog so, adding content by doing

αʹ☆zillion of reasons why I'd be a bad girlfriend 나쁜 여자친구 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

  • I hate chocolate, so no giving me chocolate fucks as a present.

  • I hate flowers, so drop that, too

  • I'm SUPER HYPERSENSTIVE to touches!! And the worst areas are at my back around the armpit area (which isn't so bad since no one really touches you there), my waist (absolute no-go relationship-wise I guess), and thighs (again no-go).
I either screech or make some sort of weird gasp-moan when someone touches my waist, be it girl or boy. And no you can't tell me beforehand, it only gets worse if I know. PLUS once you start it, I get paranoid and will gasp every time you move your hand and won't walk in front of you anymore for like the rest of the day. Word.

  • I hate talking over the phone and I don't think that would change even if I fall in love with someone.

  • I love being at home, sitting in front of my PC, doing online shopping, watching anime, blogging, surfing, watching videos of FT Island - in short: I don't have time for you.

  • I HATE clingy males, those who text all the time, who get that I hate it and then pretend like they don't care but they do, those who say their gf is the most beautiful girl in the world, and all that, it makes me puke.
And all that I can do is just ignore, since I'm so disgusted. I can't even describe it. I never text those persons back, even if they suddenly change or whatever - it's over, so baby goodbye
guess, tsundere type is really my thing

  • I think I'm going to abuse my boyfriend money-wise. I think I won't be able to resist. And if he doesn't like it, begone!

  • I'm so lazy, I don't comb my hair. And generally neglect my looks often enough.

  • I'm just so adamant. I don't get angry easily and very rarely, but if you finally succeed in making me angry, then I know no mercy. I will do sth to that other person (in the past that ranged from spilling juice over so's meal, spilling a can of sugar across the table, throwing 3 sets of poker cards around the room to ruining a DIY work and running away after that). I could imagine throwing TVs out of the window like in the movies...

  • This goes hand in hand with me being totally polarized. I'm rarely something in between or find something ok, I either hate it or love it. Which I guess can be very exhausting for others.

  • I'm generally super childish.

  • I am an unapproachable bitch. Try to allusively flirt with me and I show you how the coldest shoulder in the universe looks like. Or how someone can vanish into thin air like they never existed. As much as I hate clingy males, I'm also grossed out by compliments and chat-ups in general. That's why I either respond with a scornful look that literally screams 'I AM NOT INTERESTED FUCK OFF' or flee.
I'm so horrified by flattery that actually sometimes my brain intermits and I don't hear what that person says and just stare blankly into their face until I gather myself, utter a small thank you and make a break for it.

  • I'm that buddy type of girl. Since I don't like boy-girl akwardness (that's how I perceive initial relationships) I pre-emptively friend-zone everyone, which is how I ruin every chance of advances. It's relatively easy since I have many boy-ish interests. You just don't hey chica anyone who laughts about the same insider joke you have with your bros.

  • I think I will always be a fangirl.

Hmm, I think that's it. I will do why I'd be a good girlfriend next time, because - let's be honest - (sadly) we ain't anime, so there aren't those kind of girls who totally AREN'T designed to be with someone. (You know, those relationship-resistent hidden gems~)

I'd also like a cat - greetings
