Evergreen

Avoado*, 21 weeks old
VW2430 BenQ

Bits and bobs of news.

Ever since I went to live on my own I started to get interested in planting.
When I was a kid my parents had many plants and I couldn't really understand nor share their fondness of plants in any way.
I had decided that only adults could find any 'fun' in something as boring and unexciting as growing plants. It didn't help either that I found flowers stink.
Nevertheless I had always liked the nature, trees and forests, the sea and mountains and all those romantic things.
Now that I grew older I like how plants bring a bit of colour and nature into a home. But that's not the only thing.
Growing plants seems to stimulate some maternal instincts. Or how else do you explain that my roommate and I swoon all too often over our babies, worrying whether they are sick, have enough light and love, thinking about names* and squealing with delight when they grow their first leaf ('Oh my god, four months ago you were only a pip!!' /tears) Heck, we even go and buy them nice pots so they'll look good!
*
I fancy Alucard. I mean Alucard(o), the avocad(o).

I'm not a jewellery person. In 6th or 7th grade I used to stack on bangles like my life depended on it. I also bothered to wear earrings and necklaces.
But I grew out of bothering with those things and also bangles are quite impractical. I am simply not a person of whom adorning oneself is a part of (is that a sentence). On a daily basis I don't wear any form of jewellery (not even my prescribed glasses (Y)), although I and probably many other girls constantly plan to do so.
I especially like the trend of stacking on rings (stacking ftw?), but never had 'enough money' to buy a gazillion of rings. Especially because I'm not fond of fashion jewellery at all (an aftermath of those teen years).
But for a special occasion my dress seemed too simple so I bought a few accessories to pimp my outfit. I liked all the bling and the expensive look of my bejewelled hands yo! Although sadly I lost a ring that night. Damn you jewellery!!

I also started to collect magazines. Magazines are things that I have always liked. Their glamorous covers promised life improvement at a max, so being able to afford a magazine now and then was always a special treat.
I am nearly desperate about buying every issue of the Harper's Bazaar which is only available in Germany since this year.
And if you are into hipster things, you sure have heard of the Cereal and/ or the Kinfolk. Both are sophisticated lifestyle magazines, which help to discover the world around us.
And I have yet to find out if it's a presumptuous or cultivated affair.
But while I'm note sure I'll just enjoy reading them, being impressed with the beautiful images and marvel over the interesting articles.

Other than that, excuse for the massive show-off (of what I wonder?)
I bought this fantabulous swooshy dramatic gown last weekend to whoosh around my homely grounds and I love it! I look like a mixture of mysterious geisha, scary ghost of a vengeful widow and sexy Victoria secret vixen (ok not) or as A. said a housewife who's about to seduce her son's best friend... pui!!
Anyway I paired the boxing gloves with it in order to play with the image of a boxer, did you somehow notice? #fail
I even added the necklace to add some (belt) glory...
Anyway the boxing gloves are from the Alexander Wang x H&M collab and I'm not sure about how popular they really are, but I succesfully managed to purchase them! Yay me!!!
They are only hanging around though, I never intended to use them anyway.

Picking up the pieces

Mi Amor - 赤西 仁
Aftermath of Alexander Wang x H&M.
I can literally hear the cinematographic silence, smell the smoke, the dust, the soot in the air, as an undistinguishable noise gets first imperceptibly then clearly louder, coughs, mournings and cries of the wounded and those who have lost.
Through the smoke I start to make out creatures that had forgotten and now remember that they once were humans, crawling on the floor, staggering away, scattered to the four winds.

Some are holding onto their last treasures, leftovers from the great war that they gathered from the battleground, when the victorious had long left, leaving only unwanted trash behind.

Or something like this...

She woke up this morning to a perfectly silent room, even the clock was removed for the ticking sound made it even harder for her to sleep.
6.30 am.
Nothing was unusual, everything was the same as when she went to bed the day before. Half asleep she look around her room.
But then it suddenly hit her. It was announced for today at 10 am sharp.
They proclaimed a fight. They proclaimed a battle. Everywhere. Here in the middle of the city. You VS
The big thing.
The ultimate something.

So I was reloading H&M's site for nearly 2 hours to no avail. Starting from 10 to 10am mind you!!!
Why are people even visiting the site before the announced time?
(Like me? Just to check? Are you...? Really?)

Anyway, I had started to agonize over what I should get yesterday, and after thinking everything through I decided that I needed the towels, and wanted the boxing gloves and could use the men's sweater or gift it to my brother.
I don't know what magic internet other people possess but by the time I could shop in somewhat purpose-serving manner (every 10th reload would bring forth content!!) the sweater had sold out...
WHAT? a menswear item?
Seriously men get a bit too diva/ gay-ish these days....

I somehow managed to accidentally buy two sets of towels (dafuq) which I only realized minutes later. I went back to play Swedish roulette once more and successfully added the gloves to my haul.
(But H&M is really cool, they let you edit your shopping after placing an order, and even add new items to that order and don't create a new order with extra shipping!!!!!)

A bit sad about the sweater, because my bro surely needs some stuff, but oh well... I am victorious enough!!!
I hope the things arrive before I leave on Thursday next week~

Do you like green or black olives more? I love the black ones

    Elementary 14

    COFFEE SHOP - B.A.P.

    FULL SIZE

A few little somethings I'd like to add to my summer wardrobe!
Inspired by Cy I thought it might be good idea to make a list of items I really am missing, else I spend another year of never owning them, but a bunch of other stuff I actually don't really need. Though I have the feeling that it isn't complete, I'd say I could do with just those.

    1. A flattering lose-fit soft fabric tee in a neutral colour, preferably with a little pocket. How long has this been on my wish list? I just want something casual that'll still look effortlessly good
    2. Stripes all the way please! What is this about stripes? At the same time classic, but still a bit playful? I don't know, they are so cute!
    3. Is there an official fashion term for those yet? Boyfriend shorts? Oversized shorts? Diaper shorts? I know they aren't exactly knew, but I noticed I don't own any pair of denim shorts... can't miss out on that basic, right?
    4. Birkenstocks! Haha... when the hyung told me about his (I didn't even recognize his fancy pair as such), I was giving him patronising praises at first, but ever since then.. I kinda tasted blood. I'd even wear them with socks!! Somehow I find the purely slip-in design a bit too slipper-ish (makes any sense?) so I thought the ones with a strap at the back were more street appropriate (I know, I know, buy already then buy real one), but I'm also kinda afraid I will just slip out of the shoe, especially if I run to catch the train
    5. Nude sandals! Lately, I love everything nude-toned! Especially on feet I feel nude leather is very pretty and elegant. It is very hard to find a pair like this, I searched the whole wide web, but this is the only pair with chunky sole and appropriate design and width of straps I found! The American Apparel version of this unfortunately has a wooden heel! /sigh life can be so cruel

I reckon deciding on what things to buy in advance saves you a lot of time and trouble during shopping, so I should do this more often!
Apropos, I have already compiled a list like this with skincare products, stay tuned, I command you.

    Welcome

Candle 2 Blood Brother finally jump wagoning one the scented candles in a glass- trend. Which was kinda unwise b/c I hate perfume-ish smells, luckily this beautiful one comes w/ a cool silver lid! Cotton and wool headband &other stories a neutral-coloured headband to protect my ears from freezing over, since hats push my bangs into my eyes Lip balm - Orange Neon &other stories their make-up has awesome (silver) packaging! Despite its name/looks, the colour is quite sheer and thus leaving a fine vivid hint of orange on your lips
lipstick case I bought this one a whim, since black leather and it head no price tag on. 'Twas actually 20 USD !! Btw, I actually don't even know why lipstick cases exist in general... but it's cool Leather Mittens in Black Vintage Renewal Urban Outfitters I simply love mittens! There's something cute about them, but the tough material make them so mighty. I consider them to be perfect, so please let me keep them for a lifetime

LIBBY ankle boots Vagabond finally my pair of chunky smooth leather walker ankle boots after forever admiring them on Korean shops. Despite their height they're comfortable max, I feel like I can sprint in them (and beat you not, but that's another story) Triple Zip Clutch &other stories full grain black leather x chunky fashion item? Love! Plus I fancied clutches with handles for the longest time (actually since Angela Merkel's floating pink clutch, I don't intend to wear mine that way tho) Compact Styler Beloved Tangle Teezer (not pictured above) my friend had one and from it's unusual look I could already smell that this was sth special. I tried it out on my haven't-combed-for-ages hair and it went back to Mulan mode. So I got one myself and did I mention that I love shiny silver?

Some New In's (automatically equals fav's) from Christmas season. I don't know what got into me, but considering how I used to hate black leather (in particular black leather handbags, I couldn't imagine anything less classy back then) it's ridiculous I decided it's one of my favourite material not so long ago. Full-grain black leather even more. It must be the rebel in my soul that survived the age of the pink princess and now wants to bring out the bad ass biker. With lots of silver spikes, chains and other really hardcore stuff. Or how else can you explain the silver and black combination?
I feel more mature in all those quality materials and grown-up colours, a trait I certainly lack in and don't know of I should work on since I always wanted to be a child even when I was a child. But maybe it's all slowly happening on it's own, just like the pink princess disappearing. I have the feeling that I have been (and still am) in a finding out what you really want and what your place in life is - phase and I can tell you, it hurts (my pride) to be so cliché.
Recently I planned to read more. I like to learn about other people's mind and I guess I'm missing out on many inspirational thoughts. If you know any good non-fiction, please let me know. And I decided to have a huge collection of books later on. Not really novels or purely non-fiction, but many picture books, to feed my love for photography. I really want to buy 광고천재 이제석 (Advertisement Genius Yi Jeseok) at the moment. He really sets new standards in the advertisement industry, but it's hard (impossible) to find copies.

Part 2 and 3 of the (around) Christmas new in's are planned, as apart from the pressies I also kinda splurged on many things.

Lastly, apologies for my awful skin tone (looks like zombie skin) and the obvious Park&Cube similarities, I rushed this one and am uncreative =/

    Give me More

As I'm writing this, it's extremely bright in my room; don't like at all. I'm not really a vampire or orc, but still I absolutely don't like sunny weathers at all.
Luckily I bought sunglasses, because my eyes dislike the sun even more after that one winter in the snowy mountains were neither skiing goggles nor gold-coated astronaut helmets would prevent me from tearing non-stop. Which actually brings us straight to the topic.

    March Haul

Items with red numbers are recent, others are fillers

Manoush key ring cute, unique and super big (larger than palm size) and definitely 'something else' Samantha Thavasa パスケース cutest case ever for public transport cards! from Cy and ersatz key chain til now Dahong muffler (similar) this is actually THE perfect muffler (testified by my friends and non-friends)
Hater snapback finally enables the effectuation of fancy flower prints on garments as seen in ViVi magazine Quay Eyewear HAR_LM sunnies ensure instant sophistication and coolness boost! super popular brand in Korea Timex watch not that I'd really wear it nor feel the need for any sense of time
Mademoiselle Yulia x WeSC headphones Mlle Yulia is dope and those headphones are as dope as it gets
  • Liz Lisa mug I don't think there's a more awesome mug on this world? also 有難い to Cy and her kareshi - who hates Liz Lisa staff
  • Ohh Deer Spirit Of Motion Sweatshirt hipster much? I don't care, I love wolves!

I'm more or less on a constant hunt for extravagant junk (must be my parents' education's fault) which is by definition hard to come by (out of stock or sold at some underground store only, with its staff being articulate in moonspeak only).

In terms of shades, what better pair than Quay Eyewear's bold, more wearable version of this year's trendy cat-eye shape could I find? As for my 2nd newest obsession hats/ snapbacks: 唔該 to Hong Kong based brand HATer for these drop dead awesome master pieces and this too-kewl-to-ignore pun on hat. And how gorgeous is this quirky sugar-sweet oriental Manoush key chain please? Been loving Manoush's gipsy designs for the longest time! Also, no key chain no life! I'm officially despising those having no key chain, because it's really so much easier to fish whatever has a strap attached to it out of something big and slouchy.
I purchased both the sweater and the headphones on a whim. I either need one week to thoroughly evaluate the pros and cons of an item or it's already loaded onto the delivery vehicle (ok, that's a hyperbole - parcel services are wayy to slow for that). Wasn't really a hard decision to get the headphones though, I dare you to find a cooler pair? Mine got the 'designed by Mlle Yulia cheat' btw. And that lady is i.a. a DJ and fashion designer from Tokyo, who has performed for Chanel, etc and who's behind the brand Giza, which Kpop idols love. Here is a little sample of her works. One of my fav mixtapes ever!

    Quality Time

    Quando Quando Quando - Winterplay

To say that I have (finally) reached maturity, would be too reckless I guess, but I'm undeniable in an inner values over fancy appearance phase. You know, that kind of state of mind Buddhist monks meditate for for a lifetime or rich people attain alongside living the opposite of ascetism.
Kinda sounds like 'I'd rather buy a 10,000$ Hermès classic, which is worthwhile, instead of a cheap fashion item'.

This is also the reason why my blog is so weird and all basics/ black-white now. 'Concentrate on the essential things', you know. I will change the layout soon into sth completely un-ultimate pink princess-like.

But back to the topic, the decisive factor for my sudden change of heart is Arissa. She's - simply put - just super rich (example incentive posts). The thought of high-end 100% success guaranteed items is quite seducing. That's why I'm planning to devote my money into some quality pieces in the future. The other two persons whom I owe this enlightenment are Queenie, an amazing women from Hongkong and Shini, you should check out this post of her, in which she explains her own coming of age experience (also very inspiring). All three women have this kind of absolutely desirable vibe of grandeur.

So here's a more than incomplete overview of some items that I fantasize about. I'm not so much obsessed with haute couture clothing, but more accessories and make-up/skincare products.

    Pointed Pumps

    Nude Nail Lacquer

    Radiance Creator

    Organizers

    Large Carry-Alls

    Statement Sunnies

    Beauty Cases

    Skin Pamperer

Of course that doesn't mean that I won't order H&M Sale products en masse should there be 'cool stuff'. As buying cheap things means saving money, means having more money to spend on expensive things. Right? ... Right?!

    Fish & AmeApe

    Lunch at Nordsee

I'm trying to imitate Shini's style w/ picture posts from now on (yes she IS my idol image-blogging-wise~) Only - my blog content is too narrow ㅠㅠ Maybe I should change that.

So I've been to Frankfurt and turned in a nice shopping haul at アメアパ (American Apparel). I bought this super awesome Medium Wash High-Waist Jean. Ikr, it looks a bit very 80s, but I really love the cut (as worn on pic 2). I was only a bit shocked that I don't fit into size 24, not even 25, but 26!, guess it's a bit smaller than normal sizes cuz it's high-waist one (I'm not fat, of course). I also got Unisex Denim Long Sleeve Button-Up in Light Wash Indigo and Women’s Cable Knit Pull Over in Camel. Actually my father paid for the button-up and the knit, he really likes preppy style!
Wanted to shop more at Urban Outfitters, but I really didn't liked anything at all. Very frustrating. I love those sweaters with initials on them, but it seems that they chose the most unpleasant colors to create the one for me. My father wanted to persuade me to buy a certain Cheap Monday jeans, but I am only willing to buy a super acid one, because jeans washings should be aggressive. Now that I checked their homepage, I feel that I should've taken a closer look at the books in the store, because atm they have some really cool ones.
    No coordi pictured
