遠いあの空

冬空 - 松下優也

Hello and no cool intro today!
It's 12/21 by the way and the world has ended at 12:21 already!!

I'm the only survivor, because - unlike all you folks out there who joked abt the end of the world and acted all clever and smartass - I beliebved it would happen and followed the Guide To Survive 12/21 by May A.

Anyways I know that you(r souls) are still out there and you just don't know you're dead yet (like in the movies), so I'm writing a few things down to leave them to posterity (a few zombie mutants who can read).

Like a very bad review about 3.1Phillip Lim's Pashli.

But for now I must acknowledge my newly re-kindled London Love w/ a few lines!
London somehow is just so beautiful, I don't really mean the city's sense of fashion or whatever kind of 'spirit' people believe to smell over there, but the buildings are wonderful!!
One reason why I re-love London is this particular part from A Christmas Carol(2009), in which Scrooge flies over the Victorian British capital.

I love Charles Dickens' story since I saw it as a stage play many many years ago! Although I don't remember anything of it, only that I was really beguiled.

The 2nd reason is Park Shini 언니 from Park&Cube (must throw in Korean words lah!). The pictures on her blog are the best, best, best pictures on a blog ever!!! And she lives in London.

Because of Shini, I got obsessed w/ two things:

(actually I fancied the bag some time ago already, but her pictures of it chained my soul)

I also love London, because I love rain!

Pashli Review

«Пошли» (Pashli) is a Russian word and translates to sth like «Let's Go»

«It stemmed from the idea of motorcycle bags, every detail has a function and it is ultimately a pragmatic bag. It goes back to the lifestyle of the Phillip Lim girl – she is a working girl, she is real she wears things from day to night from day to day. For me it is really important for the bag to work for the wearer and not the other way round.»

  • Weight It is somewhat heavy as everyone says, but since it comes w/ a shoulder strap now that shouldn't be any problem anymore right?
Can wear it as a shoulder bag (short or long strap) and even cross body wtf!

  • Closure It's a push-lock closure
(which means you have to push the part of the closure attached to the flap, into the closure part of the bag's body)

Many say they dislike how it's nearly impossible to close the bag. Didn't really keep me from buying it, but my two cents are: IF Phillip Lim is keen on designing pragmatic, practical bags for working ladies, why the hell did he use such a closure?
Anyways, since you have to push, you need some sort of resistance (I really don't know any better word) on the other side so the pushing works. Since the leather is rather soft and you don't carry bricks in your bag that's a bit of a problem. You really need to press the bag aginst your body to close it.
Personally, I think the more difficult part is to find the exact position, where the two closure parts actually fit into each other. Again, since the leather is soft, the cover could land anywhere once you flap it over. But, I guess practice and usage of the bag will make it easier for you to find the right spot fast and also the bag will sooner or later 'get used' to the right spot also!

  • Shape I said the leather is soft, but it's actually hard enough to make the bag stand quite upright even when being completely empty.
But when you open it, the weight of the flap cover will drag the back down at the back, so it only stands when closed.

Yeah, that's all I wanted to say. You can read more info about it on other blogs, such as Susie Bubble's.

I am happy to answer any questions about it, so if anything, ask right away.

(Right away, because a space ship from the United Federation of Planets is commming for me later).

Ok, that's it. Wishing you all

A Very Merry Christmas
Full of Love and Magic X

P/s: The reason why I don't provide any pics for the Pashli is because I don't have a camera. The thing I own is not a camera, but an apparatus to create uglyfied electronic plates of reality.

例えこの身が 果てるとも 戦そよぐ島風 願いに染まれ

Morning - John Williams

Just as you don't understand that eleutherophobics are afraid of freedom, you will never understand my aversion to start new blog posts, and realize the superbness of each of these reads/treats.

I have this sense of foreboding that I'm going to be super late for preparing this year's Christmas dinner. (my unbreakable record: buying the ingredients on Christmas Day - at 6am in the morning. or so)
But I'm not an ancient Greek, and also not an oracle, so why should I take any action (such as searching for recipes) upon being confronted with this prophecy?

This post has no written content when I conceptualized (more visualized) it in my head, so I'll just add extra extreme random vanities to make you read more.

I actually super hate kids in my age who read (books). This is because I'm uber uneducated and therefore can't understand how people who are supposed to be like me, read.
Whether it's classical pieces or - slightly worse - random adult books about murder, sex and - what else is there anyway? Such a thing is called act intellectual, which differes significantly from real intellectuals in the fact that they don't read haphazard half-assed hogwash.

Tbh, I just finished two books. Well, they aren't novels, so all's well. Political intergrity remains sound. One is subject literature and the other is a collection of glosses and grotesques.
Put simply: There are exceptions

The December 2012 issue of the German Vogue contains this fantastic, wonderful, marvellous editorial, I just have to share it.
David Chiang and Toni Garrn modelled fashion inspired by traditional Japanese clothes. It's awesome, I love Asia, I love stereotypes clashing with untypical things.
