Miles

So long... wanted to update about skincare but it takes such a long time for my last product to arrive, so I have to write about something else in the meantime.
This is a fashion update instead!

I think you might know about these platform sandals already. They have been showing up since this summer only? (at least in Germany?), but in Korea I think people have been loving them for maybe 3 years already!
What I immediately think of when I see those shoes and the reason why I love them is, they absolutely remind me of the ninja shoes in Naruto!
Other than that I like that they don't look too girly and I really like this about Korean fashion. It is rather neutral/tomboy-ish cute, and preppy/sporty instead of plain sexy or girly. I think that's more classy and even chic, and at the same time very edgy.

So this post is meant to spread the love!

about the sandals are mainly very plainly designed, mostly with a few straps. mostly they are black or white, but there are beige/nude-colored ones as well. the platform is usually only a few cm high, with not much difference between the front and back heel. the platform itself can be in different neutral colors, such as gold, silver or see-through, it's mostly black (or white depending on the sandals) though.
point when buying watch out for pairs with straps, which are typical for sandals. if not, it can happen that u won't get the desired casual, laid-back effect, but something more and the dolly, girly site.
also a platform in the same color of the sandal will result more in a chunky overall look.
howto since these sandals have an casual charm it is better to pair them with casual basics, too. something like jeans + (wide) tees or anything else with simple cuts and neutral colors.
and also you can wear them with thin, ankle-length socks on chilly days (I know western people don't really do this, but it does look good and Koreans do it a lot)

over Nanda or yubsshop over Topshop over Nanda
over arooki over Zara

over Zara over Nanda over Nanda or Yubsshop
over Urban Outfitters over Nanda

over Zara over yubsshop Nanda or yubsshop
over yubsshop or Nanda over yubsshop

I've mainly included Korean designs over Nanda or yubsshop, because there aren't too many of those in western stores, and because I was too lazy to check many other Korean shops, but I'm sure you can find many others on yesstyle.
Don't you too find that the feet look very elegant in those shoes? Or is it just me? I've recently bought pair #9

Sports&Fashion.

There was no possibility of taking a walk that day. We had been wandering, indeed, in the leafless shrubbery an hour in the morning; but since dinner (Mrs. Reed, when there was no company, dined early) the cold winter wind had brought with it clouds so sombre, and a rain so penetrating, that further out-door exercise was now out of the question.

I was glad of it: I never liked long walks, especially on chilly afternoons:
Becox I don't know how to start this entry I steal this one lar!!!

UNIMPORTANT

  • My mother's birthday is this Saturday. I planned to eat at the Italian, but she doesn't want to.

  • Cy and I decided to finally go to the gym. I'm afraid, exercising is the only way for me to lose weight, while eating 1 meal per day.

  • And - fogive my stupidity - I am excited
Especially about my personalized work-out plan, because having one sounds so healthy life-ish! And I love all healthy life-ish things!

Also, I noticed that all my sports gear became either unsightly over the years or has gone missing.
So that gives me a really good excuse to shop like no tomorrow!

Finally, I can go buy the New Balance shoes!
How long have they been in in Korea and I still never buy?!

I just googled a bit and showed Cy the designs I like!
Nabeh, she say those aren't real athletic shoes, but plain sneakers, that is to say: unsuitable.

But I don't care! The only thing I care about is that Koreans have better designs than available for sale to Germany! Ah! めんどくせ、な!

    Here are some thinspos:
    Pics clickable as always

    Source: arooki, redopin, cherryspoon, dahong

Good, I am so vain and unworthy of life for caring about how I look at the gym!
But - I love the style! I love how it actually doesn't fit together, because you just don't wear sport shoes on a daily basis.

So yeah, we're going for some shoe shopping in a bit (additionally I need a whole new dazzling gym kit!) and then head to the gym later!
    よしゃ!화이팅!

    IMPORTANT

ViVi and Jelly scans from October 2012 issues.
Cy got me some from Japan and I would insert a few styles from the newest Jelly, but there are no scans (and I don't really scan myself)

Ok, these are not scans, but my usual compact, jam-packed style summary pics.

The most obvious and hot trend is wearing beanies.
    They are everywhere.

I love all kind of headwear and about this beanie-style I especially love this slack and pretty cool aura. It's so boy-ish somehow.
    Pics clickable as always

    Ver 1) Standard Beanie
Cy calls these sock-beanie, because they look like socks. Haha It's true.
Basically, you can wear every kind of beanie as long as you put it on very lose.

Although most don't have a pompom, it's totally the same effect if your beanie has one.

In case you don't have any beanie at all, you can shop American Apparel's Cuffed Acrylic Lined Beanie.
Jelly model Yuuki Yamamoto wears it (cf. flt green beanie at center top)

    Ver 2) Beanie with ears
I don't like these at all, but they are also very popular.

The most popular are the ones like bottom right.
There's also another kind of beanie with ears all over the newest Jelly (like the grey one in the center).

The pompom ears version doesn't appear as often, but strikingly often enough and I know that H&M sold those last winter.

    Ver 3) Ear Hat

As you can see this flat hat with cat ears is quite popular (I have not the slightest clue about how it's called - a mixture of pillbox and cocktail hat?), but there are also bowler-shaped hats with ears like Elli Rose is wearing (bottom center)

Wanted to brainwash you all into buying the - behold - SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 2 which has been released just a few days ago
But, I don't have the time

Will save it for an ultra boring blog post soon Hahaha!!

And that concludes my life and fashion update. Hope you guys liked it - and don't forget to comment or subscribe. Talk to you later.
isn't that the standard way for people to end their youtube vids?

    Peace out!

P/s: The beginning is from Jane Eyre - an absolutely phantastically boring book, which starts very adorably mainstream-ish.

(But I actually like dramatic-poetic describtions of technically quite unexciting things, which make everything appear very melancholic.

    キラキラの夢の中で 僕たちは約束をした.

    GLITTER - Perfume

Again a fashion update (please pronounce fashion japanese or korean style while you read this with your inner voice!)

This time I'd like to show you all these uber cool spiked headbands!

I've seen them on Japanese idol Miliyah Kato and instantly fell in love.
I love this woman, her fashion sense is INSANE !!!

ok, I thought she wore one in her Baby! Baby! Baby! MV, but obviously - she doesn't

But fret not, she wore sth similar for her shop KAWI JAMELE (everything clickable)

    I love it!
I love how it adds a hint of punk-rock-feeling and also, it kinda makes you look like The Statue of Liberty o((*^▽^*))o ゲラゲラゲラ

    And, isn't she pretty!
It's amazing how she got on, especially the hair color, really looks guurreat on her. (although she died her ends some neon-ish color recently)

It was quite hard to track down this kind of headband (ok, am I retarded, or why do I always want to have things that are close to impossible to find??)
Until now, I only saw Miliyah sporting these and - surprise - models of Korean goth/punk shops!

(yes, they are available from some handicraft freaks or haute couture sellers - ridiculous pricing
and DIY?! - I'm not as free as some of you*)

    I got mine from bloodycat

More eye candy from rowky. Images clickable.

Oh and I did found Western ppl with these headbands (on rowky)

    I prefer Korean/Japanese version.
    Cause I'm racist like that.

Talking about spiked hair accesories, how do you find these cool combs?

Looks a bit like a Stegosaurus, doesn't it? Kinda cute!
I don't really think it's worth being (yet), but well if you like them and have too much free time, check out the DIY (left) or buy from Maison Michel(right) if you have too much money.

    Dirty Boots. Love Dust.

    DESIRE - 加藤ミリヤ

I finally found a perfect pair of black, sexy, punk-ish, rock-ish, edgy ankle boots!

Since when do I want to have one? Last year around December/January!!!

Why I never got one? Cannot find lah!
Either I buy super overpriced directly from Korea, or I buy normal-priced form China (bt low quality for sure!)
And when it comes to heeled boots, I don't think one should blindly being cheap.

Why do I (and all of you - girls) need a pair of black ankle boots?

    look see:

They instantly create this daring sexiness, in a kind of subtle way!
By making your legs seem sky high, for example.

A perfect case of how Koreans achieve their effortlessly sexy look! As a fan of Korean fashion I had to get hold of one pair.

Here's another way to wear them:

Although being more mature and lady-like, these looks don't lose any bit of their finesse.
    Love it!

A little guide to How to find the perfect Korean Biker Ankle Boots:

As you see they come in many styles, with higher or lower top, with silver embellishment like studs or buckles or even open-toe (and in red too LOL).
Still that doesn't mean you can just by any pair of ankle boots!

  • they must have a platform! MUST
You don't simply buy heeled shoes w/o any platform!!! (except they are pointed)
Platforms make the boots look sexier, and yourself taller and your legs longer!

  • must be laced up
If they ain't, they look too classic. The laces are essential, without them the boots won't be dirty boots.

  • should be black
These boots are often sold in other colors, mainly brown. While they look good in brown or red, too, these colors don't have the same feeling to them as black.
Only black is biker-like. And sexy.
Brown is more boho-, romantic-like, to put it short: won't do it.

  • Although these are only 3 criteria, I couldn't find any fitting boots other than in China or Korea.

All the boots sold over here, NEVER have any platform.
Then I happen to find a nice pair from Tally Weijl, but - I love my luck - they never sold in my Tally Weijl store!!!

So, there was nothing I could do UNTIL some time ago I stumpled upon this amazing pair of puurrrfect biker black ankle boots.
Aish, they are so perfect, I could start to dance around in my room right now!

    HERE

Since they were sold from a UK-based store, I could connive at their quality (they are from a brand called 'Strawberry').
Also they are On Sale, how could I not buy them?

Until now I'm very happy about their quality and I mad love the tassels!

Unfortunately only size 7 and 8 (UK size) remain, so if anyone wants to buy, be quick!
They are kinda restocking them I think, cuz when I bought they had only size 4.

Which actually is a bit too big for me, but must endure!

Here are a few more inspirations for you. Found at The Guilty Hyena

    1. Azzedine Alaïa Black and white pony skin boot | £1249.00
    2. Dsquared2 Black Roxy Boots | £580.00
    3. Nicholas Kirkwood for Erdem | £710.00
    4. Topshop Arella 2 Heeled Hiker Boots | £70.00
    5. Misguided Kadie Lace Up Hiker Boots | £31.99
    6. Rag & Bone | £615.00

(A little note: see pair #5? So goddamn fugly lar!
    No platform at all!
Those pairs can be found at any shitass place in the world, I saw them everywhere, bt noone thought of designing with platform for 32 GBP !!!)

    That's it.
    A fashion update. ...
